15.1.10 - I wanted to write and thank you and the staff for looking after mum so well these last few months. It was very difficult for mum going from total indepenent to totally dependent - but the care shown by everyone at Ackworth House helped to ease this transition. I had hoped for a longer association with Ackworth but, although short, we very much appreciated the TLC given to mum with both excellent professionalism and good humour.
2.12.09 - You are worth your weight in gold! I'd just like to say thankyou to the carers and nurses who cared for my aunt. The empathy and kindness shown to my family and me was wonderful and the care that she recieved was exceptional. I really appreciate everything you all did.
26.8.09 - My sister first came to Ackworth House in 2003 for a short holiday an d immediately fell in love with staff and patients alike. We were all struck by the wonderful family atmosphere which prevailed (and still does to this day).
In 2004 circumstances dictated that she needed full-time nursing care, and there was never any doubt that Ackworth House was the place she wanted to be. Since then my sister has been so happy and secure in this lovely happy home. She is loved and cared for in every imaginable way, and feels very much a part of the family.
Thank you, everybody for all you do for her - and all you do for me, because your unstinting support over the years has been wonderful.
5.8.09 - Ackworth House is a lovely welcoming home and is inviting and so friendly.
With very mixed emotions, I had to let my husband become a resident in 2003. It did not take long to realise how fortunate we were by our choice of home.
His every need is taken care of with competence and kindness and he is well known for enjoying his meals. The support I myself receive has kept me going over the years and I feel part of 'The Family'.
29.7.09 - I would like to say how much I appreciate the care & kindness shown to my Mother, Mrs JB over the past several years. She has been so well looked after by your quite dedicated Carers which ably reflects the principals which you are so successfully achieving.
I know from previous experience, elsewhere, that Ackworth House excels itself on its food, its cleanliness and very importantly its happy atmosphere much evidenced by its regular entertainments on anniversaries, fetes, bazaars & parties.
It is good to know that my Mother and others are in such good hands.
21.5.09 - As a son of one of the residents, I can honestly say that the care that my mum Receives is first rate, but it is also given with a smile.
The carers also seem to realise that although my mum needs a lot of assistance in the day to day things, this is also done so my mums dignity comes first.
The owners and staff also have time to answer any questions that I or the rest of my family need answering.
